Loi Krathong[a] (Thai: ลอยกระทง, IPA: [lɔːj kràʔ tʰoŋ]) is a festival celebrated annually throughout Thailand and certain parts of Laos and Burma(in Shan State). The name could be translated as “to float a basket”, and comes from the tradition of making krathong or buoyant, decorated baskets, which are then floated on a river.
so says Wikipedia.
T decided to go against the will of her bosses and took leave on crucial dates to attend Loy Krathong, afterall National festivals dont change dates to fit people’s schedule. the bosses are still harping on it. but really, without me, the company can still function. so WHO CARES.
